Letter Labs began as a 36 Days of Type exploration - short 3D letter experiments shared on Social Media. The project expanded when it was selected for a short film screening at the Strichstarke exhibition at Literaturhaus Koln (14.12.2023).

The film is fully created by one person, including the sound. Using TouchDesigner and a PO-14, he generated reactive audio directly from the visuals - an unconventional, image-driven approach to sound design. The letterforms behave like lab specimens: physics-based simulations create emergent motion, with outcomes guided only indirectly through parameter "wedges" and selection.

Letter Labs is an experimental piece that frames typography as biological material - alive, unstable, and evolving - pushing scientific fascination into an uncanny parallel world.
